Committee Meetings are held at the Chamber Conference Room unless otherwise noted. Below, please find a brief description of each of our committees. If you are interested in participating, please give us a call at 425-885-4014 or drop us an email.
The following Committees are: Economic Vitality; Finance; Government Affairs; Executive Committee; Gala Committee; Golf Tournament Committee; and Board of Trustees.
1st Thursday of each month at the Chamber at 7:30a.m.
The Greater Redmond Chamber of Commerce's Economic Vitality Committee is focused on attracting new and supporting current Redmond Chamber businesses. The Committee has formed a S.W.O.T. team (Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, Threats) to help new and existing businesses with current business challenges, planning and permitting questions and being an ad vocational liaison between business and government. Both Redmond Business retention and attraction are the committee's primary focus. This committee is comprised of Board of Trustee members, City Staff, a representative from City Council and participants from the Greater Redmond Chamber of Commerce's general membership and staff. This committee reports to the Board of Trustees.
2nd Thursday of each month at the Chamber at 10:30a.m.
The Greater Redmond Chamber of Commerce's Finance Committee works with the financial direction and stability of the Chamber. This committee currently consists of the GRCC's Treasurer, incoming Chair, CEO and Finance Director. This committee reports to the Board of Trustees.
Second to last Thursday of the Month at the Chamber at 7:30a.m.
The Greater Redmond Chamber of Commerce's Executive Committee provides the "policy clearing house" function. Committee recommendations and issues flow through the Executive Committee to the Board of Trustees for policy vote. This committee consists of the Chair of the Board, the Incoming Chair, Immediate Past-Chair, Secretary/Counsel, and several Committee Chairs as well as the President/CEO. This committee reports to the Board of Trustees.
3rd Tuesday of each month at the Chamber at 7:30a.m.
The Greater Redmond Chamber of Commerce's Government Affairs Committee handles any and all legislative issues. It consists of Board of Trustee Members, and representatives from general chamber membership, depending on the issue. Government Affairs is heavily active with elected officials and their staffs, as well as representatives from business. This committee recommends policy that would include any interaction and or recommendations ensuing from that action that deals with local, regional, state or federal governmental issues. The GRCC has a strong partnership with the City of Redmond, and acts as the "action verb" where business interests are concerned. This committee's responsibility is to watch all governmental entities and negotiate and lobby on the behalf of business. There is a Transportation and Land-Use subcommittee that reports to Government Affairs. This committee reports to the Board of Trustees.

The Gala Committee handles any and all of the planning for the annual Gala & Auction event which is a multi-faceted event that takes place in February. This event raises funds to support Chamber programs, and provides members with opportunities to gain recognition and exposure for their business and employees through volunteering, contributing auction items or sponsorship dollars, or vying for an award. It is a highly anticipated forum for networking and social interaction between businesspeople and community leaders.

This event raises funds to support Chamber programs, and provides members with opportunities to gain recognition and exposure for their business and employees through volunteering, contributing auction items or sponsorship dollars, or vying for an award. It is a highly anticipated forum for networking and social interaction between businesspeople and community leaders.
Last Thursday of the Month at Emerald Heights at 7:30a.m.
The Board of Trustees is responsible for policy governance for the Greater Redmond Chamber of Commerce. It is also responsible for the strategies and direction for the Chamber. All GRCC policy decisions are made at the Board level. The Board of Trustees consist of 24 Trustees, and the President and Chief Executive Officer. Elected Officers of the Board are the Chair, Chair-Elect, Treasurer, Secretary/Counsel, the Immediate Past Chair and Vice Chairs.
